Facebook vs. Twitter

         A lot of teenagers, including myself, use Facebook and Twitter. Which of the two social networking sites is the best? This has always been a debate between people. They are both similar, yet very different.

Facebook and Twitter are both great social networking sites. Twitter is great for sending a quick message to a friend, but Facebook is better for a long conversation.

If you were going through a tough situation and wanted to explain the story to a friend, Facebook would be the best option. Also, if something terrible happened to a friend or family member, you could explain the chaos in a message. Also, if you were hosting a party and you wanted to invite a few friends, you could create an event and give only those people the information they need to know for the party.

Facebook and Twitter both have decent features in how they're set up. With Facebook you're able to connect easily and privately with friends and family, choose a cover photo, post a picture, express yourself in a note, play games, "like" someone's post or picture, update a status, comment on a friend’s post or picture, create an event, write someone a wall post, and poke people.

Using Twitter you can design and decorate your own background, cram a tweet and direct message into 140 characters, and post pictures. Unfortunately, as you can tell, there isn’t much for you to do.

Despite the differences, these two sites are somewhat similar. They are both social networking sites, you can post an update, post pictures, and they're laid out in a timeline form.

Facebook is an easier social networking site and has a wide variety of things to keep you occupied. Twitter is good for just a quick and short update, while Facebook is better for really expressing yourself or preventing you from saying “I’m bored.”.
